Venting!

I just would love to know how people do it today. Live, I mean. How do people afford to buy a house, have two or more cars, and then the everyday expenses of life: groceries, insurance (auto and health), etc. And still have money to go to the mall, or out to eat, etc.

I have just decided to get new health insurance b/c my company does not cover it for employees and I will be paying $ 300 a month just for myself with maternity. And our bills are already so scattered and hard to keep up with as it is. I feel ashamed when I look back at our checkbook and have to ask where does all our money go?

We have two cars, with insurance on both, house with insurance and taxes to pay on it, everyday expenses plus our necessary bills to keep a house up. Plus I have a 13 year old, and me and my husband both have tobacco habits. I just don't understand how people do it.
We would like to buy a new house within the next year, and have a baby, but I seriously do not know how we will make it. I know, God will not give us more than we can handle, but I don 't know how we can handle much more.

It seems like every time we feel like we are getting ahead, or we feel like okay we have some extra let's go buy "whatever", and then afterwards something happens to make you feel guilty that you bought this item. Just like my furniture, which we desperately needed. We bought a new dresser for our bedroom and a shelf to put the TV on. Mind you, this was Wal Mart furniture bought! And now I have to take on this new Health insurance note every month; I find myself thinking, I shouldn't have bought that furniture. And I feel guilty, like I splurged or something.
Any advice would be appreciated, or just to hear that someone else out there is in the same boat as us.

Haven't Posted in a While!

Sorry, I haven't posted in a while.

This week has been really slow. I was sick on Thursday, stayed home from work. My son had iLeap tests this week. Turkey season started so needless to say have hardly seen my husband this weekend. He killed one yesterday, none today. We did have a "date night" last nite. Went to Saturday service at church. Stopped by mom's to see how she is doing since the surgery (she had a neck lift), then we had dinner at DeAngelo's. After that we went and bought a new dresser and shelf for our bedroom.

Since me and Tommy got married, his clothes don't fit anywhere. We share six drawers in our one dresser and we each have two drawers in the nightstands. Clearly not enough, so hopefully this will help. Stay tuned, this may be my "Tackle It Tuesday" project this week.

I did wash and vacuum out my car yesterday, it was so beautiful outside. About 80 degrees and sunny. Summer is almost here, I can't wait.

I did redo my "My Space" page, go check it out: www.myspace.com/wcarmouche

Well, I guess I better get off here so I can go start getting the new furniture in the bedroom and get it organized.

Tackle It Tuesday!

Tackle It Tuesday Meme

On this Tuesday, I decided to tackle the bathroom vanity. Between the hair, toothpaste, contact solution and Mary Kay products, it stays a mess. And I know the hairdryer is still in the sink, I need something to hang it on. Will start that search this week. If anyone knows about anything, let me know.

I just love Tuesdays now. Go check out more tackles on www.5minutesformom.com or by clicking on the above link.

Prayer Request

Please say an extra prayer today. My husband's cousin's wife just found out today that she has chronic leukemia. They are very young and have 3 small children.

And don't forget tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day. Don't forget to wear your green.

It's Friday

Finally It's Friday!
This week has been pretty good. Report Cards came home and my son is doing so much better. All B's and C's, One A in PE of course. He has really struggled this year. He had 4 F's at one point.
Tomorrow we are boiling crawfish. I can't wait. And found out today my husband is getting raise. Whoo-Hoo!

Tackle It Tuesday

Well, this is my very first Tackle It Tuesday!

I have decided to tackle the laundry room. Actually, the pile of stray socks in the laundry room. I had a pile on the dryer and on the floor in the corner. The laundry room is so small that when one sock got lost, the other one just got “filed” in the pile. And since I am trying to get organized, this is one of my jobs I wanted to take on. I actually started this project on Monday, does it still count?
Here are the BEFORE Pics:

Okay, so I am done. It didn’t even take that long, don’t know why I have been waiting and procrastinating on doing that chore.

Anyway, I found 7 pairs of socks for me and my son and 5 pairs for my husband. The rest that didn’t have matches got tossed out. Don’t know where they are? And considering they have been in that pile, forever, we must not need them.

I just love this Tackle It Tuesday idea. It makes me feel like I have been given a challenge that I can actually achieve.
Look at the AFTER Pics:

Okay, well I am off to find out what else I can Tackle!
